Privacy Policy
Effective September 14, 2026
MyWealthExposure™ respects the privacy of the people who use this website and its modeling tools. MyWealthExposure™ is operated by Bueter Research. This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you use MyWealthExposure™, what we retain, and how third-party service providers are used.
Information You Enter Into the Modeling Tool
MyWealthExposure™ allows you to manually enter financial information so the tool can model the effect of tax, retirement, Medicare, and other rule changes. This information may include account balances, adjusted gross income, taxable income, tax-exempt interest, filing status, retirement-account information, and other modeling inputs.
MyWealthExposure™ does not connect to your bank, brokerage firm, retirement account, tax-preparation software, or other financial institution.
The detailed financial information you enter into the modeling tool is processed primarily within your browser and is not retained by us as a stored financial profile.
For certain Exposure Score calculations, the application sends normalized portfolio-allocation information to a server-side calculation service. This is allocation data expressed as relative shares or percentages rather than the underlying dollar balances. The Exposure Score request does not require transmission of your underlying account balances, adjusted gross income, taxable income, or the detailed tax-modeling inputs used by the browser-based model.
Information We May Retain
We may retain information necessary to operate the service and provide access to purchased features, including:
- Your email address.
- Email opt-in and access status.
- Whether an account owns access to a Wealth Exposure Report.
- Payment transaction references and payment-status information.
- Dates and timestamps associated with access, purchase, and restoration of access.
- Browser or session identifiers used to recognize and authorize an access session.
- Customer-service communications you send to us.
We do not store your complete payment-card number. Payment-card information is handled by Stripe.
Payment Processing
Payments are processed by Stripe. When you make a purchase, Stripe may collect information such as your name, email address, payment information, billing information, device information, and other information required to process the transaction. Stripe’s collection and use of that information is governed by Stripe’s own privacy practices.
Email Communications
If you provide your email address, it may be processed through ActiveCampaign for purposes such as providing access to the service, recording opt-in and Report-access status, sending service-related communications, and sending educational or marketing communications when permitted.
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link included in those communications. Transactional or service-related messages may still be sent when necessary to provide a service you requested.
ActiveCampaign Site Tracking
MyWealthExposure™ uses ActiveCampaign site-tracking technology on the public website and application to record page visits and related browser information. ActiveCampaign may use cookies or similar identifiers for this purpose. When ActiveCampaign can recognize a visitor as a contact, site-visit activity may be associated with that contact record.
Our ActiveCampaign site-tracking implementation is not intended to send the financial balances, income figures, modeled tax amounts, Exposure Score, or individual rule-test values you enter. It runs only on the production MyWealthExposure™ domains, and it does not start on a page whose URL contains a query string, reducing the risk that checkout session identifiers or other URL parameters are transmitted through site tracking.
Analytics and Technical Information
MyWealthExposure™ uses analytics services, including Plausible Analytics and Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use the website and where users encounter problems in the experience. Our hosting and security providers may also process standard request and technical logs needed to deliver and protect the service.
Analytics or technical systems may process information such as browser and device information, approximate location derived from an Internet connection, page activity, referring information, and interaction events.
Our analytics implementation is designed not to send your financial balances, adjusted gross income, taxable income, modeled tax amounts, Exposure Score, email address, or individual rule-test settings as analytics event data. Google Signals and advertising-personalization signals are disabled in our current site-side Google Analytics configuration.
Browser Storage and Similar Technologies
MyWealthExposure™ may use browser storage, session storage, cookies, or similar technologies to maintain an active session, remember access status on an authorized browser, preserve information temporarily while you leave the site to complete Stripe Checkout, restore the application experience after checkout, and support security and basic functionality.
Temporary modeling information stored in your browser is different from information stored in our server database. Third-party services may also use cookies or similar technologies according to their own policies.
How We Use Information
We may use information to operate and maintain MyWealthExposure™, provide requested calculations and functionality, provide and restore Report access, process and verify payments, respond to support requests, send requested or permitted communications, protect against fraud or unauthorized access, diagnose technical problems, improve the user experience, and satisfy accounting, legal, regulatory, or security obligations.
Sale of Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use the financial information you enter into the modeling tool to create advertising profiles or sell that information to advertisers.
Data Retention
Information retained by us is kept for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain purchase and access records, satisfy accounting or legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and protect the security of the service. Information stored only within your browser may remain until it is cleared by the application, expires, or is deleted through your browser settings.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information processed through MyWealthExposure™. No Internet service, browser-storage system, database, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Your Choices and Requests
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we maintain about you. Certain information may need to be retained where required for payment records, legal obligations, fraud prevention, security, or other legitimate business purposes. Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide additional privacy rights.
Children
MyWealthExposure™ is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the service, technology, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of the policy identifies the current version.
